At Coleridge Primary we encourage our children to take pride in everything they do, including their appearance which is why we have a school uniform. We ask parents and carers to support us in implementing this dress code.
Our uniform comprises of a jade green sweatshirt or cardigan, a white polo shirt and either black or grey trousers or a skirt or pinafore dress for girls. For safety reasons we ask that children wear sensible shoes, not flip flops or shoes with a high heel. Please ensure that all items of clothing, including coats and shoes, are labelled with your child’s name.
For PE activities we ask that children wear black shorts, a white t-shirt and plimsolls or trainers. For outdoor PE in colder weather, tracksuit bottoms and sweatshirt are required, these should be kept in a small drawstring bag. If your child has long hair please ensure that they have a bobble to tie it back.
For your convenience items of uniform with the school logo on them, including fleeces, polo shirts and sweatshirts, are available to order through school, alternatively these can be purchased through local suppliers including Jonny Ds (near Rotherham market) and Pinders (In Rotherham interchange bus station).
We would discourage children from wearing jewellery in school to prevent loss, damage or injury. However if children have pierced ears we ask that only studs are worn. All jewellery, including stud earrings, must be removed before PE, swimming and any other sports or games activities.
